Pronto Cycle Share is declaring March as Seattle’s first Women’s Bike Month, and they are kicking it off with a #WomenWhoBike ride on March 5. With only 36% of Pronto Annual Members identifying as female, the cycle share program wants to raise the profile of women who ride a bike.
Female riders citywide are invited to share a bike lane with the State’s most influential women in bike advocacy. From Councilmembers to Executive Directors, the Pronto #WomenWhoBike Ride will include leaders from: Washington Bikes, Cascade Bicycle Club, Commute Seattle, Bike Works, Seattle Neighborhood Greenways, Sound Transit, Seattle City Council, and more. The ride departs Pronto’s South Lake Union office at 5:30 pm and ends at Seattle City Hall. For a full list of participants or to learn more about how to join, click here.
