{"id":750,"date":"2010-06-16T16:00:00","date_gmt":"2010-06-16T16:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/2010\/06\/16\/i-bike-tom-radley\/"},"modified":"2013-01-05T19:44:31","modified_gmt":"2013-01-05T19:44:31","slug":"i-bike-tom-radley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wabikes.org\/index.php\/2010\/06\/16\/i-bike-tom-radley\/","title":{"rendered":"I Bike: Tom Radley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I met Tom Radley of Redmond in the mid 1990s when he stepped forward as an early supporter of the East Lake Sammamish Trail.\u00a0 He lived on the lake at that time and, according to Tom, he dearly wanted to see the trail built.\u00a0 Today, Tom is retired and rides this gem of a trail often.<\/p>\n<p>Tom has enjoyed bicycling since childhood and fondly recalls earning the Cycling Merit Badge as a Boy Scout.\u00a0 He rode his first STP in 1980 and became hooked on long distance riding and touring.\u00a0 Although retired from full time work, Tom leads rides for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.adventurecycling.org\/\">Adventure Cycling Association<\/a>.\u00a0 He gets &#8220;tremendous satisfaction from helping others enjoy and be motivated to do human powered travel.&#8221;<\/p>\n<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_9-coSRlRBkE\/TBglcn-LGZI\/AAAAAAAAAFg\/ZvSap9Wz-Cc\/s1600\/Tom+Radley.JPG\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" src=\"http:\/\/4.bp.blogspot.com\/_9-coSRlRBkE\/TBglcn-LGZI\/AAAAAAAAAFg\/ZvSap9Wz-Cc\/s320\/Tom+Radley.JPG\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>Tom bikes for many reasons&#8211;health, recreation, exercise and transportation.\u00a0 Most of his vacations the past 30 years have been by bicycle.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;You see much more on a bike and the experience is so much richer.
