In March, we launched our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.wabikes.org\/news\/index.html#HubSpokeWenatchee2010\">Hub and Spoke outreach tour in Wenatchee<\/a> and over 50 cyclists joined us for a discussion of biking issues at the local, state and national levels.  <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_9-coSRlRBkE\/TCAMl7I3e7I\/AAAAAAAAAHE\/JYSn23E3oqU\/s1600\/HubSpokel.png\" style=\"clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"178\" src=\"http:\/\/1.bp.blogspot.com\/_9-coSRlRBkE\/TCAMl7I3e7I\/AAAAAAAAAHE\/JYSn23E3oqU\/s200\/HubSpokel.png\" width=\"200\" \/><\/a>Tomorrow we take our Hub and Spoke tour to Vancouver, where critical cycling issues have hit the forefront. We\u2019ll meet with members of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/bicyclealliance?ref=sgm#%21\/pages\/Bike-Me-Vancouver\/184085814295?v=wall&#038;ref=ts\">BikeMe! Vancouver<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/vbc-usa.com\/\">Vancouver Bicycle Club<\/a> and other area cyclists to discuss the bike issue du jour, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.columbian.com\/news\/2010\/jun\/22\/transportation-plan-has-no-bike-funds\/\">elimination of funding for the City\u2019s Bicycle Program<\/a>, among other things.<\/p>\n<p>We also want to celebrate the cycling successes&#8211;and there have been successes. We want to thank Vancouver advocates who helped us pass the cell phone bill, which is now law. We want to hear about the new bike facilities that are in place. We want to talk about the progress that has been made with Safe Routes to School.<\/p>\n<p>Please join us for this timely event if you live in Vancouver\/Clark County. And please share this with others you know who care about the future of bicycling in this important region. Light appetizers will be provided.
