{"id":601,"date":"2011-05-05T15:00:00","date_gmt":"2011-05-05T15:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/2011\/05\/05\/usbrs-check-out-the-map\/"},"modified":"2011-05-05T15:00:00","modified_gmt":"2011-05-05T15:00:00","slug":"usbrs-check-out-the-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wabikes.org\/index.php\/2011\/05\/05\/usbrs-check-out-the-map\/","title":{"rendered":"USBRS: Check out the Map"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"clear: both; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-qTn4BZ1hPGM\/TbsAe0iiozI\/AAAAAAAAAc0\/glmHcqwQcV0\/s1600\/2011_USBRS_Ad_180x150_WA.jpg\" style=\"clear: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" height=\"166\" src=\"http:\/\/2.bp.blogspot.com\/-qTn4BZ1hPGM\/TbsAe0iiozI\/AAAAAAAAAc0\/glmHcqwQcV0\/s200\/2011_USBRS_Ad_180x150_WA.jpg\" width=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n<p>In a <a href=\"http:\/\/bicyclealliance.blogspot.com\/2011\/05\/help-us-make-us-bicycle-route-system.html\"><b>previous blog post<\/b><\/a>, we kicked off our month of May fundraiser for the US Bicycle Route System.\u00a0 The USBRS is a major undertaking by our friends at <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adventurecycling.org\/\">Adventure Cycling Association<\/a> <\/b>to create a mapped, signed and officially recognized network of interstate bike routes.<\/p>\n<p>The Bicycle Alliance has stepped up to work with Washington State Department of Transportation to develop the USBRS bike routes in our state.\u00a0 We are currently working on USBRS Route 10, the northern route that will connect to Alaska (via the ferry) to the west and Idaho to east.\u00a0 Check out the <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.adventurecycling.org\/routes\/nbrn\/USBRSCorridorMap.pdf\">USBRS National Corridor Map<\/a><\/b> to get a feel for the national plan.\u00a0 You can see that six bike route corridors are planned to travel through Washington State.<\/p>\n<p>Please make a donation to the USBRS effort through our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.razoo.com\/story\/Usbrswashington\"><b><\/b><\/a><b><a href=\"http:\/\/bicyclealliance.blogspot.com\/\">Team Washington page<\/a><\/b>.\u00a0 Twenty percent of the funds raised through our team page will be dedicated to the USBRS efforts in Washington State. <\/p>\n<p>Build it.
