Well Bicycle Alliance blog readers, it\u2019s been short but sweet.\u00a0 My one year anniversary in Seattle was quickly approaching when I was offered an opportunity to relocate back to Portland.\u00a0 I will miss Seattle, the people I\u2019ve met and experiences I\u2019ve had, especially with bike and pedestrian advocacy.\u00a0 (In addition to Off the Rez<\/a>, the roaming Native American food cart that everyone in Seattle should find.)\u00a0 I am keeping the door open to return, and think there is such a great community spirit up here in the Puget Sound region. I cannot endorse more the unique grassroots Greenways<\/a> movement which I feel lucky to have been a small part of, and which continues to gain traction with City Hall and the Department of Transportation.\u00a0 I look forward to continuing my advocacy efforts in Portland, even though I suspect it will have a slightly different flavor.\u00a0 Already on my \u2018commute\u2019 to work I\u2019ve encountered 8am rush hour bike traffic on the Broadway Bridge!\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
