{"id":1309,"date":"2012-12-04T08:15:49","date_gmt":"2012-12-04T08:15:49","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/?p=1309"},"modified":"2013-01-09T20:32:23","modified_gmt":"2013-01-09T20:32:23","slug":"board-announces-candidate-slate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wabikes.org\/index.php\/2012\/12\/04\/board-announces-candidate-slate\/","title":{"rendered":"Board Announces Candidate Slate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Washington Bikes\u2019s Board of Directors has announced its slate of board candidates for the upcoming election.\u00a0 The five candidates\u2014two newcomers and three returning directors are running for terms through 2015.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet the new candidates:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Angela-Jones-STP-cropped.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-1321\" style=\"border: 10px solid white;\" title=\"Angela Jones - STP- cropped\" src=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Angela-Jones-STP-cropped-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Angela Jones<\/strong>, Spokane, is the Director of Employment &amp; Conciliation Services for Spokane Public Schools.\u00a0 She currently serves on the Washington State University Alumni Association executive board and is the president of the WSU African American Alumni chapter.\u00a0 An avid recreational cyclist, Angela embraced bike riding 5 years ago after a chronic knee injury sidelined her from other sports.\u00a0 She is interested in encouraging more people of color to ride bikes and promoting the healthy benefits of bicycling.\u00a0 When she&#8217;s not on the bike, Angela enjoys gardening and participating in triathlons.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/Tim-Hennings-rockies.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-1311 alignleft\" style=\"border: 10px solid white; margin-top: 5px; margin-bottom: 5px;\" title=\"Tim Hennings -
