Leverage Bike Month events and programs to increase bicycling to and from your workplace, or as a form of exercise and stress relief while working remotely, and generate momentum for onsite improvements.<\/p>\n<h3>Suggested to-do list<\/h3>\n<p>This sample timeline will help you plan for a fantastic Everywhere Challenge and inspire riders. You can find the full schedule of Bike Everywhere Month events <a href=\"https:\/\/cascade.org\/rides-and-events\/bike-everywhere-month-2022\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>April<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set a goal for your workplace (number of teams, new riders, trips), and offer incentives for people who recruit new people to ride.<\/li>\n<li>Plan workplace <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cascade.org\/diy-community-event-toolkit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bike Month activities<\/a>:\n<ul>\n<li>A\u00a0bike commuting roundtable lunch where regular riders\u00a0share tips and routes with the bike-curious.<\/li>\n<li>Organize an early May kick-off party or breakfast and an end-of-the-month awards ceremony.<\/li>\n<li>Celebrate commuters by hosting a <a href=\"https:\/\/cascade.org\/diy-celebration-station\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bike Everywhere Day celebration station<\/a> in your neighborhood, along your commute, or at your workplace.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Update internal website with bike commuting information and resources.<\/li>\n<li>Fill a table with your colleagues and friends for the <a href=\"https:\/\/give.cascade.org\/event\/bike-everywhere-lunch-2026\/e777337?_gl=1*129vms9*_gcl_au*MzIyNTM0ODA4LjE3NzM4NjA2NzQ.*_ga*MTA5NjUzNzM4My4xNzU4MjM1NjQ4*_ga_5N49BVZQ0M*czE3NzU2Njc2MDckbzIwNCRnMCR0MTc3NTY2NzYwNyRqNjAkbDAkaDA.\">Bike Everywhere Luncheon<\/a> on Wednesday, May 21.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the Bike Everywhere Challenge to your employees using sample recruitment email below. Registration for the Challenge opens in April.\n<ul>\n<li>Offer incentives (like a gift card) to team captains for starting a team and recruiting people to ride.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Recruit your CEO or a high-profile leader to participate in bicycling activities. Invite them to a post-Bike Month\u00a0awards lunch or\u00a0organize a fun &#8216;Ride with your CEO&#8217; bike ride.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>May<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Go anywhere by bike! The Bike Everywhere Challenge starts on May 1, 2026.<\/li>\n<li>Recognize bike commuters on Bike Everywhere Day, May 13, 2026.<\/li>\n<li>Feature bike commuters\u00a0in your blog or newsletter, especially a team captain or new rider who are especially inspiring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>June<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Celebrate your organization or\u00a0team&#8217;s efforts by organizing a fun awards ceremony or bike commuter\u00a0breakfast.<\/li>\n<li>Share results and success stories with senior leadership and in your internal communications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Ongoing<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Poll participants for suggestions to increase bike commuting at your business.<\/li>\n<li>Make strategic enhancements for bike commuting.<\/li>\n<li>Contact\u00a0<a href=\"info@cascade.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cascade Bicycle Club<\/a> for advice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Inspire your employees<\/h3>\n<p>New bike commuters respond to support, encouragement and incentives. Below is a list of suggestions to guide your Bike Month planning.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Host a riding class for new commuters or point employees towards the <a href=\"https:\/\/bikeleague.org\/ridesmartvideos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">League of American Bicyclists&#8217; videos<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Submit a compelling video about bicycling at your workplace.<\/li>\n<li>Propose theme days (lycra, business suits, tutus, super heroes, tweeds, etc).<\/li>\n<li>Organize free food for bicyclists (breakfast, lunch, or happy hour).<\/li>\n<li>Use your ride-matching skills to pair new bike commuters with experienced riders.<\/li>\n<li>Raffle off fabulous prizes.<\/li>\n<li>Get your CEO to participate &#8211; organize a CEO ride to your workplace!<\/li>\n<li>Stage a bicycle fashion show (demonstrate that bicycling is a diverse activity with lots of different purposes).<\/li>\n<li>Share inspiring stories via company newsletter, intranet, or blog.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Email templates<\/h3>\n<p>Feel free to use these templates to promote the Bike Everywhere Challenge via email, online, or newsletters. Registration for the Challenge is free and opens May 1.
