{"id":12017,"date":"2015-03-02T09:57:53","date_gmt":"2015-03-02T17:57:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/?page_id=12017"},"modified":"2015-03-11T10:38:03","modified_gmt":"2015-03-11T17:38:03","slug":"transportation-advocacy-day-2015","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wabikes.org\/index.php\/summit\/transportation-advocacy-day-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Transportation Advocacy Day 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote>\n<div>\n<h2>Be a citizen lobbyist for a day or come to the Legislative Reception!<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Monday, March 16, 2015: Legislative Reception<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Tuesday, March 17, 2015: Transportation Advocacy Day\u00a0<\/strong>(also Day Two of the Washington Bike Summit)<\/p>\n<p>Governor Hotel<br \/>\n621 Capitol Way S<br \/>\nOlympia, WA<\/p>\n<p><strong>Registering for TAD after Friday March 6? <\/strong>Arrive Tuesday March 17 in time to check in before<strong> 10 a.m.<\/strong> when we begin our update on transportation policy in the 2015 legislative session.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UPDATE MARCH 7:\u00a0<\/strong>The full two-day Washington Bike Summit is\u00a0<strong>SOLD OUT<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>all plenary sessions are full.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two options for participation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Monday night March 16 Legislative Reception:<\/strong>\u00a0NEW registration option added to sign up for this event without attending the full Bike Summit. Mingle with elected officials, leaders from the bike industry, and attendees at the Summit. Enjoy hors d&#8217;oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, and Washington wines, beers, and ciders (no-host bar).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transportation Advocacy Day:<\/strong>\u00a0In order to include as many people as possible we are continuing to register a limited number of people for participation in Transportation Advocacy Day sessions and optional legislative visits held on the second day of the Summit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Registration for Day Two now includes a box lunch, beverages\/snacks, and informational sessions listed on the <a title=\"2015 Washington Bike Summit Agenda\" href=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/summit\/agenda\/\">Bike Summit agenda<\/a>\u00a0<strong>other than the two plenary<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>sessions<\/strong>, which are full. It also\u00a0<strong>does not<\/strong>\u00a0include the professional CEU workshop.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Important note:\u00a0<\/strong>If you want us to make legislative appointments for you on Transportation Advocacy Day, you MUST check the box indicating that near the bottom of the form below.<\/p>\n<p><strong><\/strong><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\">The 2015 TAD is held in conjunction with the Washington Bike Summit (but Transportation Advocacy Day is about all modes: walking, biking, transit, and trains!)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><span style=\"line-height: 1.5em;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2011-TAD-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-10945\" alt=\"rp_2011-TAD-1.JPG\" src=\"http:\/\/wabikes.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/02\/2011-TAD-1.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"320\" \/><\/a> <\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Connect with other advocates and be a citizen lobbyist for a day when you meet with your legislators (we\u2019ll schedule the appointments for you!).
