This year’s Summit theme is “Designing the Future We Want.”\u00a0Safe and accessible streets don\u2019t just happen \u2013 they must be intentionally planned. Thankfully, big leaps in best practice design guides have happened in the last year. Get up to speed on the NACTO and AASHTO guides and WA communities are leading the way on safer, accessible streets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Join us April 1-3 in Wenatchee to gain new insights from keynote speakers, mobile workshops, interactive panels, peer networking, and more!\u00a0 Together, we can plan for a future where our communities are easy for everyone to get around by biking, walking, or rolling \u2013 young, old, and everyone in between.\u00a0<\/p>\n

What is the Summit and Who Should Attend?\u00a0<\/h3>\n

The Bike, Walk, Roll Summit is a three-day event that brings together people from all around Washington (and beyond!) who are engaged in making our state the top bike, walk, and roll friendly state in the nation. During the Summit, we host mobile workshops, panels, experiential learning forums, and collaborative spaces for people who want to see biking, walking, and rolling as an accessible, safe way to get around our communities. The content is intended to inspire, educate, and inform elected officials, community advocates, planners and engineers, and more!<\/span><\/p>\n

Inclusion<\/h3>\n

Everyone is welcome at Cascade Bicycle Club and Washington Bikes events. We are committed to celebrating and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the bicycling community. We would like to acknowledge that the Summit takes place on the ancestral lands of the P\u2019Squosa, also known as Wenatchi, people and members of the Colville Confederated Tribe. The P\u2019Squosa have lived on this land since the beginning of time, and continue to do so today. Our offices are located on the traditional land of the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. We recognize this land acknowledgment is one small step toward true allyship and we commit to uplifting the voices, experiences, and histories of Indigenous people.<\/span><\/p>\n
