Join us in November of 2022 for a series of events around Seattle.

Protected Bike Lane Clean Up

Volunteer to clear protected bike lanes along Pike St. in Capitol Hill from Bellevue Ave to Broadway, and along Union between 16th and 23rd Avenues. Coffee, hot drinks, and snacks provided. We’ll gather after for a social hour at a local business.

Chains and Derailleurs Class

In this hands-on class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of drivetrain and shifting mechanics. Our step-by-step instructions will help you get your bike to shift and pedal more smoothly. You’ll learn how to properly maintain and adjust your drivetrain and shifting system.

Fix-a-Flat for Women & Non-Binary People

Learn how to be self-sufficient and avoid delays by fixing your own flat. We’ll show you the tools and supplies you’ll need to carry for a quick repair when you’re out on the road. We’ll send you home with a patch kit, tire levers and the confidence to fix your own flat.

Cranksgiving

Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels. Part bike ride, part food drive, part scavenger hunt, it has been held annually in New York City since 1999 and has spread across the nation. This is the 13th Cranksgiving organized by Tom Fucoloro of Seattle Bike Blog and this year, Cascade’s Pedaling Relief Project is teaming up to help.

Cocoa Ride & Social Hour

Join us for a social hour (or two!) on the rainiest day of the year in Seattle! Enjoy a Free Group Ride (sign up separately) and then warm up (and dry off!) at Cascade Bicycle Club with some hot cocoa, coffee, tea, and light snacks. Vegan options will be served.

You’ll get to meet other riders and ride leaders and find some inspiration to keep rolling in the rainy months! Door prizes will be given out and attendance is free of charge. You do not have to join a Free Group Ride to attend – all are welcome! Please register (RSVP) so we know how many people to expect.

Find the University of Washington team and Cascade Bicycle Club posted at the Rainier Vista, just off the Burke-Gilman Trail as it travels past UW Medical Center. Get your hands on some Ortlieb saddle bags, neck gaiters, bike lights, and some hot drinks to warm up your winter commute. Need a chain cleaning? We can help with that and get some air into your tires.
